Where did you go?
We went up to the fabulous Cherry Tree Garden Centre up near Bradmore, fabulous location and great to sit out. If I had gone in the car I could have spent some serious cash on some of the marvellous items for my garden!
What topics did you discuss at coffee time?
I'm not sure why, but lots about Michael O'Leary and Ryan Air today, especially how to avoid incurring extra charges at the airport!!
What was your route?
No idea, I just follow the person in front!! Fortunately, a fellow rider recorded it and here it is!
What were the roads like?
To be honest some really need resurfacing schemes, for example the roads between Stanford on Soar and East Leake. Riding down this hill at a pace on the return journey would delight Turkish dentists as riders' teeth are rattled out on the uneven surfaces!!!
Fortunately, Notts County Council have plans in place for a couple of planned maintenance road schemes!
Short Ride 2
Report by John
After the other rides had departed just Margaret, Dennis and Rob remained to accompany John to Kegworth.
The group set off through the University and climbed up to Shepshed from where they headed north to Long Whatton. Here they turned up Kegworth Lane and ascended to the bypass. A rapid descent brought them to Oaklands and refreshments.

The riders returned on the east bank of the Soar through Sutton Bonnington, Normanton on Soar and Stanford, arriving back in Loughborough around noon.
